Changes in Kaunas Triobet

LKL debutants BC Kaunas Triobet have announced about signing a contract with Aurimas Birgelis (190-G-88). The club from Kaunas needed to strenghten their roster after Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-G-89), Arturas Milaknis (195-G-86), Vytenis Cizauskas (189-G-92) and Povilas Butkevicius (201-F-87) left the club to join B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas, Sarunas Velius (207-C/F-83) also left the club earlier. Birgelis averaged only 1.9 points and 1.6 assists during the 13 minutes he spent a game. BC Kaunas Triobet claimed that the club doesn't have any ties with B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas (and visa versa), but a strange movement of players within these two clubs clearly exists. According to rules no team is allowed to have a second team in the elite division.
