Zalgiris wins LKL championship for the 7th time in a row
Kaunas closes 4-1 the final series against Lietkabelis

It's Zalgiris Kaunas again the LKL club champion, for the seventh consecutive time with the trophy number 19 of own history. The team of coach Jasikevicius won 4-1 the decisive series against Lietkabelis, in the first historical final for Panevėžys.
After the really good regular season (33-3) Zalgiris closed with the national success, in a season where the team played a really good Euroleague winning also the King Mindaugas Cup. Kaunas won in the playoffs the challenges against Dzukija and Neptunas, across the other finalist eliminated Lietuvos Rytas with the 3-1 score in the semifinal series.
After a balanced start of the finals (1-1 with the victory of Lietkabelis in game-2) Kaunas controlled the other games, for example with the clear 97-58 away win of game-3. In the last match of the year Zalgiris celebrated away from home the success with the 73-68 win of game-5, with another great performance of Lekavicius and Jankunas against the team of the Lavrinovic brothers.
Edgaras Ulanovas was named MVP of the Finals.
