LKL: Zalgiris is the champion for the sixth time in a row
Kaunas won 4-1 the final series against Neptunas
Zalgiris Kaunas won the LKL trophy number 18 of own history, closing as best team of Lithuania for the sixth consecutive season. The champions beat 4-1 Neptunas in the series for the title.
Kaunas, after the 32-4 regular season, eliminated with a perfect 3-0 Juventus in semifinal. Klaipeda won the series against Lietuvos Rytas thanks to the 73-72 away victory in game-5.
After the bad defeat in game-2 of the finals (-22) Kaunas won the next 3 games, with a +25 average gap closing the season with the perfect 97-70 home victory in game-5.
Too strong the team of coach Jasikevicius, with a really good Randle, an amazing Jankunas in the first challenge of the series (29+11) and a really team work of all the other players. Not enough for Neptunas the performances of Ewing, Grant, Mazeika and Girdziunas.
Vytautas Sulskis of Vytautas was the seasonal MVP, with a great season: 13ppg, 6.9rpg and 2.5apg leading the team to the fourth place in RS.
