Neptunas Klaipeda announces Mustapha Shakur
The guard moves to Lithuania
Neptunas Klaipeda added some experience in the backcourt with the signing of guard Mustafa Shakur. He becomes the first non-Lithuanian signee on the club. Shakur (1.91 meters, 30 years old) played two seasons in the Euroleague for Prokom Trefl Sopot of Poland in 2007-08 and the following season for Spanish side Tau Ceramica, now known as Laboral Kutxa Vitoria. Last season he played for Oklahoma City in the NBA and for Tulsa and Erie in the D-League. Shakur had previously played for Washington in the NBA, Rio Grande in the D-League, Panellinios BC Athens in Greece, Pau Orthez in France and Monferrato and Sidigas Avellino in Italy.
