Janis Berzins had an offer from FC Barcelona this summer

Janis Berzins, in a long interview with Latvian Weekly Sports Magazine Sporta Avize said that he got an offer from FC Barcelona this summer but he decided to turn it down and stay with VEF Riga.
The young Latvian who shined at Eurobasket Under 20 was offered a 2+2 deal. The plan of Barcelona was to loan him to another ACB team (Fuenlabrada).
Berzins decided to play with VEF Riga next season where he will have a bigger role and more minutes in the team.
