Maccabi Tel Aviv eyeing Bobby Brown?

Montepaschi Siena guard Bobby Brown has been linked to Israeli organizations as a possible recruit each summer over the past few years. Yet unfortunately for Brown, who positively considered hooping in Israel, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem repeatedly overlooked the Los Angeles native.
Jeremy Pargo and Demond Mallet were both favored by Maccabi over Brown. Last summer, Jerusalem coach Sharon Drucker, who has the upmost respect for Brown after the two teamed up in Greece, hoped to regroup with the Euroleague's regular season top scorer.
After Brown's blowout year in Germany along with his impressive showing at the NBA summer league with the Toronto Raptors, averaging over 13 points per game, Drucker was informed that Brown's price-tag exceeded Jerusalem's budget.
Brown's talents being on Maccabi's radar have reportedly surfaced in Israeli media, however this time it appears, Brown holds the cards.
Ahead of Thursday's game against Maccabi, Siena's savvy ball handler logged 14.3 points on 13-14 free throw shooting, and dished out 19 assists in three games versus Tel Aviv this season.
Throughout his European stints in Poland, Greece, Germany and Italy, Brown made certain to pen one-year deals out of belief that he's worthy of playing in the NBA and that it's only a matter of time until he retraces his steps back into the league. Brown wasn't interested in locking himself into a situation that he couldn't get out of if an NBA offer had presented itself.
Behind his sensational season with Siena which includes qualifying for the Euroleague Top 16 stage and winning the Italian cup, along with the ongoing NBA interest he's receiving, Brown is leaning towards million dollar contracts, which unfortunately for Maccabi, means he's out of their league.
