Recap of Israeli league games

Israel

Despite building a final four caliber team, Israel's Hapoel Jerusalem has surprisingly dropped its third consecutive game and remains winless in the 2012-13 season.

Last summer, while entering his second season with Hapoel on a guaranteed contract, former Kentucky guard Ramel Bradley found himself waived and later picked up by smaller Israeli league team Barak Netanya

In last night's match against Jerusalem, the exceedingly motivated Bradley torched his recent club with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and a pair of clutch free throws securing a hard fought 77-74 (42-30) victory.

Bradley received help from frontcourt duo Marco Killingsworth (20 points on 8/10 shooting and 5 boards) and high-flyer journeyman Deron Washington (17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists). Israeli shooter Yeho Orlando contributed 14 points connecting on 4/8 from beyond the arc as Netanya tied Maccabi Rishon for Israel's top seed with a perfect 3-0 record.

Ex-NC-State swingman Courtney Fells led all Jerusalem scorers with 16 points and a team high 5 dimes. Dan Grunfeld and former NBA veteran big man Craig Smith (5 rebounds) added 11 points each in a losing effort.

Bnei Herzliya concluded Israel's third round games with a 88-74 road victory over last season's finalists Maccabi Ashdod.

Former Atlanta Hawks' 1999 draftee Jumaine Jones flirted with a triple-double posting 25 points (6/7 from deep), 8 rebounds and 7 assists as Mexican shooter Romel Beck scored 22 (18 in the first half) and rookie center Herb Pope collected 12 points and 8 rebounds for Bnei, who upped its record to 2-1.

For the disappointing Ashdod (0-3), power forward Diamon Simpson netted 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Israeli playmaker Dror Hagag added 17 points, 4 assists and 4 boards.
