Hapoel Jerusalem signs Courtney Fells

Hapoel Jerusalem penned a guaranteed one-year deal with American high-flying swingman Courtney Fells of Gilboa/Galil.

Fells, who was a restricted free agent, utilized his out clause by paying Galil a buyout of $50,000, according to sources. The 6-foot-6 North Carolina St. grad recorded 12.6 points and 4 rebounds per game in last season's Israeli competition. Fells, a 2012 Balkan League Champion upped his performances in Galil's Balkan battles, playing a more dominant role while contributing 13.3 points per game.
