Tyler Wilkerson to Maccabi Haifa for Marco Killingsworth
Scambio sull'asse Maccabi Haifa-Gilboa/Galil
Maccabi Haifa announced today that the team has acquired forward Tyler Wilkerson from Gilboa/Galil in exchange for forward/center Marco Killingsworth. The trade was mutually agreed upon by both teams which will send each player to their new team for the remainder of the season.
Wilkerson will practice with Maccabi Haifa this week and is scheduled to be on the Haifa roster for this Sunday’s home against Ashdod at Nesher Arena. This marks the first time Wilkerson will play in a green uniform since his standout college career at Marshall University (2006-2010). Wilkerson, upon graduating from Marshall University, tried out as an undrafted free agent with the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs summer league team this past off-season, before signing with Gilboa/Galil in the Israeli Basketball Super League.
The 6-foot-8 forward is currently averaging 11.5 points and 6.4 rebounds in 25 minutes in 18 games this season in the Super League, while also averaging 10.7 points and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes per game in 6 games in Eurocup competition.
