Sneed returns to Ashkelon

Omar Sneed (33, 1.98) returns to Ironi Ashkelon which was his first team in the Israeli League back in 04/05. Sneed joins Moran Roth who was his team mate last season in Jerusalem and before that in Rishon Lezion.

Sneed, who was selected last season to the all-league starting five, will begin in Ashkelon his fifth season in Israel. He is one of the most verstile players in the Israeli league in the last 5 years.

His first season in Israel was in 04/05 in Ahskelon, also under coach Bet-Halahmi (19.1 pts, 7.3 reb, 3.2 ass). in 05/06 he played in Maccabi Rishon Lezion (18.4 pts, 7.4 reb, 4.3 ass).
In the middle of 07/08 he got back to Rishon (16.4 pts, 7.5 reb, 4.4 ass) and in 08/09 he moved to Hapoel Jerusalem
(14.7 pts, 7.2 reb, 5.0 ass)

Sneed has 1413 pts in his carrer in the Israeli league (ranks 246 in the league all-time scorers list).
