Maccabi close to waive Gaines

Maccabi Tel Aviv big man Charles Gaines could be waived in the next hours by Israeli team.

The player and his teammate Aaron McGhee went out last Sunday after the game in the same club where D'or Fischer was attacked and wounded on his face, breaching the Ethic Code the players signed with team from Tel Aviv.

Both players were banned from practice and while McGhee will be fined by Maccabi being his first violation of the code, Gaines risked to be cut because this is the second violation for him.

Gaines has played 9 games in Israeli league averaging 8.8 points, 5 rebounds and 13.7 of index rating.
