Maccabi Haifa signs Guy Lavie

The Maccabi Hunter Haifa Israeli professional basketball team today announced that they have signed point guard Guy Lavie for the 2018-19 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Lavie, 26, spent the past three seasons playing for Maccabi Ra’anana in Israel’s second division under current Maccabi Hunter Haifa head coach Barak Peleg and alongside fellow teammate Samme Givens. He appeared in 28 games last season and averaged 11.4 points while shooting 37.5 percent from three-point range to go along with 3.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists (third-highest in the second division) and 2.6 steals (third-highest in the second division) in 26.4 minutes per game. He was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League First Team for his impressive 2017-18 season performance.
