Maccabi Tel Aviv signs DeAndre Kane
He played very well in Eurocup last season
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv added another weapon to its backcourt by signing DeAndre Kane. The deal is for one season with an option for a second. Kane (1.96 meters, 27 years old) returns to Israel after finishing the 2015-16 season with Hapoel Eliat. He split this past season between Nizhny Novgorod of Russia and Real Betis Energía Plus of Spain. Kane posted monster numbers in the 7DAYS EuroCup for Nizhny; his average 21.5 performance index rating was the second-best in the competition. He totaled 16.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.5 assists over 14 EuroCup contests. Kane ranked sixth in scoring, second in rebounds, 10 in assists and fifth in steals. After moving to Spain, he posted 9.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Kane has also played for ratiopharm Ulm of Germany, Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd of Russia and Antwerp of Belgium. Kane is expected to represent Hungary at EuroBasket 2017.
