The forward is not interested in returning in the NBA
Sonny Weems returned to Europe after a season in the NBA with Suns and 76ers (36 games with Phoenix averaging 2.5 points and 7 games with the 76ers at 2.4 points).
The forward, who has played in Europe with Zalgiris Kaunas and CSKA Moscow, penned a deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv where he is one of the stars of the team.
And Weems plan to remain in Europe and in EuroLeague for many years to come.
Per Eurohoops, About a possible NBA return Sonny Weems: I have undertaken a serious task right now here in Europe! There is a team and an organization that trusted me and largely depend on my performance. I am very happy here! I want to stay in Europe for many years and I expect the Euroleague to make even more good things, to keep me in Europe and other players who like to compete here. I honestly do not think about the NBA, only how to succeed with Maccabi in Europe.
