Jerome Dyson signs two-year deal with Hapoel Jerusalem

Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem put a big scoring threat into its backcourt with the addition of guard Jerome Dyson who signed a two-year deal which club announced on Tuesday night. Dyson (1.91 meters, 29 years old) has spent last season with Auxilium Turin in Italy, where he averaged 15.8 points, 3.1 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals starting in 18 games. Dyson first came to Europe to play for Hapoel Holon in Israel in 2012 and led the league in scoring with 20.4 points per game. He later played in Italy, first for Enel Brindisi then with Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari which he helped lead to a triple crown – Italian League, Cup and Supercup titles, and has also made a debut playing in both Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup in that 2014-15 campaign. He also played for Tulsa in the Development League, and New Orleans in the NBA. He has also been a member of the USA national team, helping it win a bronze medal at the 2011 Panamerican games. "Jerome is an energetic and explosive player. He is very competitive and its impact on the success of Sassari two years ago was tremendous, said Jerusalem head coach Simone Pianigiani. It’s been four years since he last played in Israel, he gained a lot of experience since then and I am sure he will fit very group we are building."
