David Federman on Maccabi's season: 'This is our worst season ever'

He released an interview with David Pick

Israel

David Federman, a minority owner of the Maccabi Tel-Aviv, made an interview with David Pick and talked about the bad season that the team is living. Here's some answers from the interview with Pick:

"This is Maccabi's worst season. Ever. As an organization, we've made some terrible decisions, and lost around $5-6 million."

" (Head coach) Zan Tabak is a straight shooter, and I have a lot respect for him. He is not going to be fired," said David Federman. "In December", he added, "I wanted to re-sign Greek center Sofoklis Schortsanitis, but Zan Tabak told me that if Maccabi signs 'Big Sofo', they'll need to sign a new coach, too. I let it go then and there."

"Our current roster is not good enough to win the EuroCup. It is going to be real tough for us. There are players here who aren't worthy of wearing the uniform of Maccabi."

On Jordan Farmar, who signed a $2.8 million guaranteed two-season contract, with an option for year III. "Our coaching staff (former head-coach Guy Goodes, and assistant coach Avi Even) along with (general-manager) Nikola Vujcic said Jordan Farmar and Taylor Rochestie was a bad fit, but (management) believed it could work. Signing Jordan Farmar was a mistake."
