Erez Edelstein and Hapoel Tel Aviv agreed to part ways
Edelstein is solely focused on his commitment to the Israeli national-team
Israeli-League veteran coach Erez Edelstein and Hapoel Tel Aviv have mutually agreed to post-season split.
Edelstein, who led Hapoel to the domestic state-cup final four and into the Israeli playoffs quarterfinals series versus Euroleague powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv, is solely focused on his commitment to the Israeli national-team.
A native of Northern Israel, Edelstein, who capped a three-year deal with Hapoel, led the organization to a Minor-League Championship and to a series of memorable victories over crosstown rival Maccabi.
Edelstein previously worked under iconic coach Pini Gershon and is listed at No. 14 on Israel's All-Time Most Winningest Coaches.
Erez Edelstein has resigned as head coach of Hapoel TLV. Now solely focused on Israel national-team.
