Hapoel Jerusalem sign Zack Rosen
Rosen moves to Jerusalem
Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem signed point guard Zack Rosen to a two-year contract, the club announced Wednesday. Rosen (1.85 meters, 24 years old) arrives from fellow Israeli club Hapoel Unet Holon, for whom he averaged 5.6 points and 2 assists per game as a rookie last season. He previously starred for the University of Pennsylvania in college. Among his list of accomplishments for the Quakers were being named to the All-Ivy League First Team three times, including being chosen as the unanimous 2011-12 Ivy League Player of the Year. Rosen set the school record for assists in a season (173) and career (588) and finished among Penn’s career leaders in scoring (third; 1,723 points), steals (fourth, 154) and three-point shooting percentage (ninth, 39.1%). Rosen becomes the fourth guard Jerusalem has signed this summer. He joins former All-Euroleague selection Yotam Halperin, Derwin Kitchen and Chanan Colman.
