Maccabi Haifa announced Ben Reis

The player signed for two seasons

The Maccabi Bazan Haifa professional basketball team, the 2013 Israeli Super League defending champions, announced today the team has signed guard/forward Ben Reis for the 2013-14 season with a team option for the 2014-15 season.

Reis, 23, joins Maccabi Bazan Haifa after spending four seasons with Bnei Herzilya. The 6-foot-5-inch guard/forward posted a breakout year last season, appearing in 27 games and averaged 10.0 points (eighth most among Israelis), 3.8 rebounds (seventh most among Israelis) and 1.6 assists while shooting 35.6% (31-87) from beyond the arc in 27.2 minutes per game. He recorded a career-high in points scored last season with 27 and grabbed seven rebounds in the eighth round against Maccabi Bazan Haifa.

A native of Eilat, Reis holds both Israeli and German citizenship.
