Kataja Basket celebrates Korisliiga championship
4-2 success in the final series against Salon Vilpas
Kataja Basket back on top in Finland with the 4-2 triumph in the final series against Salon Vilpas. For the club of Joensuu in the title number 2 after the first one in 2015 season.
After the second place in regular season with 25-11 record Kataja won the playoff series with Nokia and Helsinki, playing the final against the top team of the season (28-8 for Vilpas). The new champions won the first 2 games of the finals, Salon tried to reopen the series with the game-5 victory but Kataja closed the year with the clear 94-65 win to assign the title.
In the last match of the season Bradley was named MVP with a 24+9 performance, helped also by Mullings with 23pts, Bristol with 14+10 and the veteran Rannikko with 5+6+12.
