Stephon Lamar Signs One-Year Contract in the Czech Republic
It's his first pro-contract
Slan Sports Management is pleased to announce that Stephon Lamar has signed his first professional contract with BK Lions Jindrichuv Hradec of the Czech Republic National Basketball League (NBL). Lamar is set to start his professional career with the Lions after spending the past season away from basketball.
Lamar, a 6’1’’ point guard, finished his collegiate career at the University of Saskatchewan in Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS), where he was named a CIS 1st Team All-Canadian and All-Canada West Conference Player of the Year in 2013, leading his team to the Prairie Division Regular Season Title. That season, he led the country in total scoring with 481 points and was 2nd with an average of 22.9 points per game. He also finished the year 5th in the CIS in assists, totaling 105 over the season and averaging 5.0 per game.
