CEZ Nymburk lands Christian Burns

Turkish Airlines Euroleague hopeful CEZ Basketball Nymburk bolstered its frontcourt weeks before the Qualifying Round by inking big man Christian Burns to a one-year deal on Thursday. Burns (2.03 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Enisey Krasnoyarsk, where he averaged 14.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 20 VTB League games last season. He had a season-best 25 points in a road win against Nymburk. Burns has also played for Sutor Montegranaro in Italy, Elitzur Netanya in Israel, Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye in Ukraine, Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany, FC Porto Ferpinta in Portugal and AZS Koszalin in Poland. Burns will now try to make Nymburk survive the Qualifying Round and lead the team to its first-ever Euroleague season.
