AEL Limassol officially out of the league

One of the most successful teams in Cyprus will not play in the 2014/15 season of Division A! The AEL Limassol announced that, due to serious financial problems, will not take part in the new season and for this the league will continue with only 7 teams this year.

In the long club history (founded in 1966) the team won 13 Cypriot Championships (last time in 2007), 9 Cypriot Cups and 8 Cypriot Super Cups.
