Vassil Evtimov retires at 39

Vassil Evtimov announced his retirement.
The big man born in 1977 became the first player in the history to play Eurobasket with two different countries: France and Bulgaria.

 

I am officially announcing my retirement from the game of basketball. It took me a year to realize that i actually can't do it anymore. I want to thank my family, my parents and brother that stood by me in good and bad moments. To all my former teammates, coaches and my closest friends for everything. I want to thank the game of basketball itself that i've learned so much from and continue to learn on daily basis. I am looking forward to become a coach in the near future and to share my experiences with the new generation.
