Belfius Mons-Hainaut lands Monwell Randle

U.S. power forward Monwell Randle will return to Belgium. The 30 year old "veteran" did sign with Belfius Mons-Hainaut where he will be reunited with head coach Yves Defraigne after working together before at Optima Gent (2010-'11 season). The former Missouri State (2004) graduate will come back to Europe for his 9th consecutive professional season overseas after being active before in Croatia (KK Zadar), The Netherlands (Bergen op Zoom), Belgium (Vilvoorde & Gent), France (Cholet) and Turkey (Oyak Renault Bursa & Trabzonspor). At Belfius Mons-Hainaut, which is also active in EuroChallenge competition, Randle is expected to be a valuable player with a lot of experience at the inside rotation. This past season, the versatile Randle was active in the Turkish league for Trabzonspor which was struggling from the beginning of the season towards the end which resulted in going down to Division II.
