Spirou Charleroi tabs Caleb Green and extends with Broyles

Spirou Basket kept getting ready for the upcoming Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking power forward Caleb Green to a one-year deal and extending Dwayne Broyles until the end of the 2011-12 season. Green (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Telenet BC Oostende, where he averaged 10.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 35 Belgian League games last season. He helped Oostende to reach the Belgian League semifinals, the Belgian Cup titles game and the EuroChallenge final four last season. Green also made Oostende lift the 2010 Belgian Cup trophy and reached the 2009 Belgian League finals with Dexia Mons-Hainaut. Green has also played for TBB Trier in Germany since finishing his career at Oral Roberts University, to which led to win back-to-back Mid-Continent Conference in 2006 and 2007. Broyles (1.96 meters, 29 years old) averaged 5 points and 2 rebounds in 10 Euroleague games last season. He has helped Spirou to win three consecutive Belgian League titles from 2009 and 2011. Broyles has also played for ASK Riga in Latvia, as well as for Zagreb and Sibenka Sibenik in Croatia.
