Mons adds Landry
In vista del finale di stagione, la squadra belga firma il lungo canadese
League leader Dexia Mons-Hainaut has signed Canadian Center Kyle Landry (206-F-86, college: N.Arizona) to strenghten its roster for the final part of the season.
Kyle Landry, a 6'9' forward from Calgary, recently completed his collegiate career with the Northern Arizona University (NAU) Lumberjacks, leading them to within one win of getting an NCAA tournament berth.
Landry had a super senior season and was named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Year by collegeinsider.com and was an All-Big Sky First Team unanimous selection. He set single season school records for points (561), free throws made (183) and free throw attempts (259) while leading the Lumberjacks with 17.5 points per game (second in the Big Sky) and 8.1 rebounds (third in the Big Sky).
This seaon he played in Poland for Sportino Inowroclaw and had averages of 12.2 ppg and 10.3 rpg (24 games). His 10.3 rpg makes him the leading rebounder in the Polish league.
Kyle is a member of the Canada Basketball 2008 Men's Development Team.
Landry is scheduled to arrive in Belgium this evening and start practising with the team as of Tuesday.
