He recently played in Argentina

Mexican point guard Alex Perez is officially a new player of VEF Riga, his agent announced. Perez recently won the Argentinian league with San Lorenzo, averaging 12 points and 5 assists per game. He finished last season with Maccabi Haifa in Israel.
