Blatt to be main candidate for CSKA head coaching job if Itoudis leave after the season?
The elimination in the EuroLeague semifinals may cost the bench at Dimitris Itoudis
CSKA Moscow lost in the EuroLeague semifinals against Olympiacos and won’t defend the title won last May in Berlin.
And this may cost the bench at Dimitris Itoudis at the end of the season, considering also the big budget CSKA put on the table this season (more than €42MM).
If Itoudis won’t remain as head coach of CSKA, David Blatt is the candidate number 1 for the head coaching job of the Russian powerhouse, according to Isport.
Blatt has one year left on his contract with Darussafaka Dogus but the Turkish team is unlikely to play in EuroLeague next season. And if CSKA calls, it will be very tough for Blatt to turn down a proposal.
Blatt has coached Russian National Team in the past winning a bronze medal at the Olympics.
