VTB League: format and clubs approved for 2016-17 season
Parma IN, Bisons, Vita and Nymburk OUT
The VTB United League Board approved the format and roster of participants for the upcoming 2016-17 season in Moscow today.
14 clubs will compete in the VTB United League next season, including newcomer Parma of Perm, Russia. Bisons (Finland), Vita (Georgia) and Nymburk (Czech Republic) will not take part in the 2016-17 season.
The competition format did not undergo any changes. The VTB United League regular season will begin in October 2016 and conclude in April 2017. The top eight teams in the regular season will qualify for the postseason, which will take place in May-June 2017.
The VTB United League will also organize the 4th edition of the VTB United Youth League.
