Ivan Lazarev signs a 1+2 contract with CSKA Moscow
The player remains with the Russian team
Center Ivan Lazarev (25 y.o., 210 cm) signed new “1+2” contract with CSKA Moscow.
Ivan joined the Army Men with days before previous season started. He played in 27 games (12 starts), averaging 2.9 points (on 74% of two-pointers), 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 blocked shots in 6.22 minutes. Besides Lazarev actively helped the youth team: he averaged 21.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocked shots in 24.9 minutes in 9 games for CSKA-2.

Ivan is definitely improving, he is doing good job, he is one of the best on our team in playing above the rim. He is focused on what does it mean to play for CSKA and we are happy with his effort. We are watching into future and we believe that Ivan has big room to progress.

I am glad to be part of the team, to play alongside such persons, pros of the highest level. Probably, as any basketball player, I would like to perform more important role but I perfectly understand that with CSKA I can improve my skills even during practices. I am definitely not on the top of my potential, I know what I can work on, and I have the ones who work with me. I’d like to say ‘thank you’ to the management and coaching staff for trust in me. We had just crazy last season, we won all trophies, you cannot ask for more. We will try hard to repeat our success next year.
