VTB League 2015/16: Format and participants approved
The board confirmed the 16-teams format of the last season, with the new entry Vita Tbilisi from Georgia
The VTB United League Board approved the format and list of participants for the 2015-16 season today in Moscow.
Once again, 16 clubs will compete in the VTB United League, including one new club, Georgia's Vita Tbilisi. The decision to include Vita in the competition was unanimously approved by the League Board. The Georgian club takes the place of Russia's Krasnye Krylia, which, as reported earlier, will not take part in the VTB United League in the upcoming season.
There will be no changes to the competition format. The VTB United League regular season will begin in October 2015 and conclude in April 2016. The top eight regular season teams will advance to the postseason, which will be held from May - June 2016.
The VTB United Youth League will also hold its third season.
