Janis Timma turns down an offer from Baskonia
Baskonia is on the market to replace Davis Bertans
Janis Timma turned down an offer from Baskonia as confirmed by the player and his agent to Sportacentrs.
Baskonia tried to sign him after the season ending injury suffered by Davis Bertans.
“I had an offer from Baskonia to sign a contract until the end of the season starting from Monday. But I think it's not worth to go for two months and rush it. Plus, I would have to talk about this with the management of VEF Riga. There's no point of rushing things. I am not sure if joining a new team and fitting in before the decisive games of the season would be easy. I saw more risks than positives in this situation” said Timma who will finish the season with VEF Riga.
