Tsmoki-Minsk lands Stanley Burrell
Burrell moves to Belarus
Tsmoki-Minsk inked 30-year old American point guard Stanley Burrell (191-84). He already started the season at Hitachi Sunrockers Tokyo in Japanese NBL league, but left the team in Nov.'14. In 10 games he averaged 8.1ppg, 2.9rpg, 3.3apg and 1.0spg this season. The most of last season Burrell spent at Bnei Hasharon (Winner League) in Israel. In 12 games he had 13.2ppg, 2.9rpg and 4.4apg. He also played at Royal Hali (TBL) in Turkish league earlier that season. In 8 games he had 8.1ppg, 2.4rpg and 4.8apg. Burrell also played 5 games in EuroChallenge where he had 9.0ppg, 2.2rpg and 3.4apg. The previous (12-13) season he played at Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (BBL) in German league. In 32 games he had very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 2.6rpg and 4.3apg in 2012-13 season. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. In 2011-12 season Burrell played at Energa Czarni (TBL) in Polish league. In 39 games he had also remarkable stats: 15.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 4.8apg in 2011-12 season. In 2010-11 season he played at Okapi Aalstar (Scooore League) in Belgium. In 36 games he had 8.6ppg, 1.5rpg, 2.7apg and 1.0spg in 2010-11 season. He contributed to his team making it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. Burrell also played 2 games in EuroChallenge where he had 15.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.5apg and 2.0spg in 2010-11 season. Among other achievements his team won Atlantic 10 Regular Season for two years in a row (2007 and 2008). Burrell received also All-Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2008. He has played also professionally in Bosnia (Bosna-Royal), Belgium (VOO Verviers-Pepinster) and D-League (Austin Spurs).
