Derrix Nix leaves VEF Riga due to personal reasons

Derrick Nix announced his departure from VEF Riga for personal reasons.

The player wrote this statement on Twitter: "Due to a series of unexpected events I had to depart from (VEF) Riga to assist/help my mother in recovering from her recent surgery & help take care of our household. This decision was not easy for me, but I have to be there for my family. I would like to thank the entire VEF organization for this worthy experience from the coaches to each and every player. Please keep me & my family in your prayers.. Thank you Derrick Nix".

Nix was averaging 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in LBL, 12.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in VTB League and 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in Eurocup.
