Szolnoki Olaj qualifies for the Eurochallenge Final Four

The Hungarian team beat Tartu Rock in Estonia

On Tuesday night, Szolnoki Olaj repeated their biggest success in club's history by reaching EuroChallenge Final Four tournament, after beating Tartu Rock in the decisive third game on the road in Estonia.

Dragan Aleksić and his players qualified to the Final Four tournament of EuroChallenge with a 2:1 score in the quarter final series of EuroChallenge against Tartu Rock. In the semi-final, they will face strong Russian team Triumph Lyubertsy. In case of a victory, they would face the winner of the game between Reggio Emilia and Royal Hali Gaziantep in the final. If they go all the way, they would become the second ABA League team with the EuroChallenge champions title, after Krka claimed it in 2010/11 season.

They crushed the opponent in the second half

At the end of 21st minute, when the score was tied for the last time at 32:32, Szolnoki Olaj took the situation into their own hands and began to dominate the game on the road in Tartu. They were increasing their lead from minute to minute until the end of the game and led already by 20 points in the last minute of the game. In that moment, also the home side realized, that their chances of turning the game around are non-existent and had to congratulate the opponent on the well earned victory.

Holiday, Bader and Lorant the heroes

The top scorers of Hungarian side were Justin Holiday and Marton Bader, which scored 18 points each, while Peter Lorant contributed 15 points for the triumph, together with 13 rebounds.
