Maccabi Tel Aviv brings back Nimrod Levi
Levi signs for two seasons
Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv bolstered its froncourt by signing forward Nimrod Levi to a two-year deal, the club announced Monday. Levi (2.08 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Maccabi Ashdod Be'er Tuvia, where he averaged 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds in 37 Israeli League games last season. He boosted his acoring average to 14 points in three games against Maccabi. Levi grew up with Maccabi and played for its youth teams until 2014, when he joined Ironi Ramat Gan due to the collaboration between both clubs. He also played for Hapoel Galil Elyon-Kiryat Shmona and Maccabi Rishon LeZion before returning to Tel Aviv in March 2017, averaging 2.8 points in four Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games with his current club. Levi has also been a member of the Israeli national team. "I am very happy to come back to Maccabi, a club that I have played for as a teenager and also in the first team", Levi said after the agreemente. "I am planning to seize this opportunity - I am in Tampa right now working out with a trainer and am planning to come ready for this season that I can’t wait for it to start - Yalla Maccabi!"
