One of the traditional off-court highlights in recent years has been the annual adidas Trophy Tour where basketball fans and Final Four visitors get their chance to take a photo with a EuroLeague trophy and see some of their favorite Turkish Airlines EuroLeague stars.

This year was no exception. On Saturday morning, a player from each of the teams that will battle for European basketball’s most coveted prize in Sunday’s championship game, Anthony Randolph of Real Madrid and Marko Guduric of Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul, accompanied the trophy to its place at the adidas booth in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Fan Zone situated within the walls of the impressive Kalemegdan Fortress.

“This trophy is really nice”, Randolph said looking at the coveted piece of silverware. “This is a pretty amazing feeling, to have an opportunity to play in a final game. That’s what you work for the whole season. To win the last game and be the team that wins the championship, and lift this trophy.”

Hundreds of fans came early, queuing up on line to meet the basketball stars and get a glimpse of the trophy that every player dreams of holding up.

“I did not touch this trophy, well, until now. I hope I will hold it tomorrow night”, said Guduric, a native of Serbia. “I am used to these fans in Belgrade. This is great, but also got to try to stay focused on the game tomorrow.”

Randolph and Guduric signed countless autographs, they were in many fan-selfies, and had their photos taken together with the trophy, but only one will get to celebrate with it on Sunday.

“I think basketball is big in Europe, but Belgrade have amazing fans that support their teams each and every game. It is great interacting with them, and I enjoyed my time here.”

As part of the adidas Trophy Tour, the fans had an opportunity to see the trophy up close and in person at several different locations in the Serbian capital this week. Trophy is also on display for the public at the 7DAYS pavilion in the FanZone all Final Four weekend, where everybody can make a stop to see and take photos with the it.
