Olympiacos signs Bobby Brown

Brown returns to Europe

EuroLeague
Olympiacos Piraeus added some scoring punch to the backcourt by signing Bobby Brown for the remainder of the season. Brown (1.88 meters, 33 years old) was the 2013 Alphonso Ford Top Scorer Trophy winner after leading the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with 18.8 points per game for Montepaschi Siena of Italy. He also tied the EuroLeague single-season scoring record with a 41-point outburst at Fenerbahce Istanbul in January 2013. That record, which he shares with three other players, is still standing. Brown also played six EuroLeague games for Asseco Prokom Gdynia during the 2010-11 season. He arrives from Houston in the NBA, for which he played 20 games this season. Brown has also played for Sacramento, Minnesota, New Orleans and Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA; ALBA Berlin and EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Germany; Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, Besiktas Istanbul in Turkey and Dongguan Leopards in China. The move comes as Olympiacos also gets set to see a key off-season acquisition, forward Kim Tillie, make his EuroLeague debut for the club this week in a home game against Valencia Basket. Tillie was injured while warming up for the first EuroLeague game of the season back in October.
