Jordi Bertomeu: ''EuroLeague can't accept a disrespectful behaviour like this"

Jordi Bertomeu, CEO of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague expressed his opinions about putting the idea of withdraw from the league to the vote of Panathinaikos from EuroLeague. During the signing ceremony of the sponsorship with Sinpaş GYO in İstanbul, Bertomeu:

''We're not used to situtations like this. There are also some uncertainities. For instance, Panathinaikos will ask about it to who? First of all, i need to say; EuroLeague clubs need Panathinaikos and Panathinaikos needs EuroLeague clubs. We as EuroLeague can't accept a disrespectful behaviour like this. If a club wanna stay with us, they need to obey the rules of sports. Respect is one of these rules. If they don't accept these rules, they can't stay. Panathinaikos is one of the successful clubs of European history. Unfortunately, we are having some problems with the owner of the club but i know that we going back to former state. However, i need to express again we can't accept a disrespectful behaviour.''
