Olympiacos guard Vangelis Mantzaris out indefinitely

Olympiacos Piraeus announced Sunday that veteran guard Vangelis Mantzaris would be sidelined indefinitely to help him heal from an injury on his left leg. Mantzaris, 27, has received injections to help play through the injury, but they have also delayed the healing process. The team’s medical staff has determined the best course of action is for Mantzaris to cease all basketball activities immediately until his recovery. Now in his seventh season with the Reds, the two-time EuroLeague champion is averaging 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds over nine Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games this season.
