Teenage superstar Luka Doncic is making sure that his injury-depleted Real Madrid does not miss a beat. Doncic unfurled the best performance of his young career to help Madrid stay unbeaten by downing visiting AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan 100-90 on Tuesday, and in the process earned himself the MVP of Round 3 honor. Doncic set his career high with a performance index rating of 41, which is tied for second-most by any Real Madrid player this century! He also matching his career high of 27 points, which he first set on the opening night less than two weeks ago. Doncic scored 12 points during a 20-0 third-quarter run that gave Madrid the lead for good. He finished the game shooting 5 of 9 for two points, 2 for 5 from three-point distance, and 11 of 12 from the free throw line. He also pulled down 8 rebounds, dished 5 assists, had 3 steals and drew 10 personal fouls while not committing a single one of his own. This is the fifth time in his young career that Doncic has been MVP of the round. The second-best outing of Round 3 belonged to Sergio Rodriguez of CSKA Moscow, who accumulated a performance index rating of 29. In victoryover Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens, the veteran point guard set his new EuroLeague career high with 25 points. Rodriguez shot in 3 of 6 two-pointers and 5 of 9 threes to go with 9 assists, 2 steals and 1 rebound. His teammate Kyle Hines matched his career highs of 21 points and 4 steals. He made 9-of-10 two point shots and pulled down 4 rebounds to accumulate a career-best performance index rating of 28. Two more players had an index rating of 28. For Milan's center Arturas Gudaitis, not only was that the highest PIR of his EuroLeague career, but so were his 20 points, perfect 9-for-9 two-point shooting, and 4 blocked shots. Gudaitis also pulled down 7 rebounds in his team's loss in Madrid. In matching that index rating of 28, James Anderson of Khimki Moscow Region collected 24 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and drew 5 fouls in his team's victory over visiting Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade.

Doncic was the top scorer of Round 3 with his 27 points. Doncic also took over first place in scoring for the season, with 22.7 points per game through three rounds. Two players collected 11 rebounds this round, Tornike Shengelia of Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz and Augustine Rubit of Brose Bamberg. The overall rebounding leader this season is Will Clyburn of CSKA with 9.3 per contest. The assist leaders in Round 3 were Rodriguez, Baskonia's Jayson Granger and Khimki's Alexey Shved, dishing 9 apiece. Thomas Heurtel of FC Barcelona Lassa leads the competition with 7.7 assists per night. Hines and Dogus Balbay of Anadolu Efes Istanbul had 4 steals each, the most of all players in Round 3. Rudy Fernandez of Madrid leads EuroLeague with 3 thefts on average. Gudaitis had 4 blocked shots, double those of any other player in Round 3. Meanwhile, Artsiom Parakhouski of Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv is the overall shot-blocking leader with 2 per game. Three players accumulated double-doubles in Round 3. Shengelia had a career-high 22 points and 11 rebounds, Rubit had 15 points and 11 rebounds, both of those career bests, while Barcelona's Adam Hanga had 19 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
