Daniel Hackett was named in Italy’s National Team preliminary squad for the first two FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers.
The combo guard of Brose Bamberg doesn’t know yet if he’ll play in November against Romania and Croatia.
“I read about being named to the Italian National Team. For obvious reasons on which I prefer not to talk about, we, as EuroLeague players, are in an uncomfortable situation. And it is not our fault. I am in contact with Italian National Team coach Sacchetti, I will call FIP president Gianni Petrucci. We will talk all together and I will talk also with my club, Brose Bamberg, which is the best solution. We have EuroLeague games during the training camp week. It is a chaos” Hackett told Sportando.
