Brose Bamberg signs Daniel Hackett

Hackett inks a two-year contract

EuroLeague
German champion Brose Bamberg added more experience to its backcourt by signing veteran guard Daniel Hackett to a two-year deal. Hackett (1.97 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Turkish Airlines EuroLeague runner-up Olympiacos Piraeus, where he spent the past two seasons. His last season, however, was cut short by a leg injury he suffered in Round 11 of the regular season, after which Hackett did not return to action. He averaged 5.0 points, 1.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds off the bench before the injury. Hackett is a veteran of five EuroLeague seasons and has made 108 appearances in the competition with Olympiacos, Montepaschi Siena and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. In those games, he has a career-average of 8.8 points, 3.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds. Earlier in his career, Hackett also played for Benetton Treviso and Scavolini Pesaro in Italy and at the University of Southern California. "I look forward to this new challenge. Brose Bamberg is a club that has made a name for itself in Europe in recent years," Hackett said. "I am fully recovered and confident to be able to help the team to win as many games as possible."
