Just in time for the biggest event on the competition calendar, Euroleague Basketball has tapped into the world of artificial intelligence to offer fans a new way to interact with and learn more about the 2017 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four.

Launched today, the new EuroLeague Facebook Messenger Bot – built by baresquare, Euroleague Basketball's digital and analytics partner – can interact with fans about innumerable competition-related matters in real time. Through the EuroLeague Bot, fans can have questions answered, get the latest statistics and see highlights from past Final Fours on a myriad of devices, seven days a week and 24 hours a day.

Months in the making, the EuroLeague Bot operates within the Facebook Messenger platform. Accordingly, it can be accessed on virtually any computer or handheld device by simply signing into Facebook or opening the Facebook Messenger Mobile App. Once you send a message to Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Facebook, the bot will take over the conversation and introduce you to a new way of interacting with the EuroLeague.

The EuroLeague Facebook Messenger Bot continues Euroleague Basketball's commitment to innovation and harnessing technology, giving fans more ways to enjoy the game by offering a new touchpoint alongside the EuroLeague's existing digital channels.

"Each year during the Final Four we debut a range of technologies to give fans unique experiences and a new perspective on the game," Alex Ferrer Kristjansson, Euroleague Basketball's Brand & Communication Director, said. "This year will be no different and the Facebook Messenger chatbot allows us to connect with fans and communicate with them in a really natural, conversational way as the excitement for the Final Four builds."

The bot, which also has a subscription function through which fans can receive the latest news and videos through the build-up to the Final Four, will become a full-time feature in the digital offer of EuroLeague contents at the beginning of the 2017-18 season.

To develop the bot, baresquare employed the same cutting-edge technologies that drive Amazon's Alexa assistant and Apple's Siri, using artificial intelligence and natural language processing to understand users requests.

If you love vanguard technology, be among the first to interact with the EuroLeague Bot as you prepare for the 2017 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four!
