Panathinaikos will return from Istanbul to Athens by bus as a punishment

Panathinaikos was swept by Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague playoffs despite having the home court advantage.
Dimitris Giannakopoulos decided to punish his team cancelling the flying tickets and obliging the team to return from Istanbul to Athens by bus.
The distance is a little less than 1.100km.

Giannakopoulos promised a €250.000 bonus for the players if they had reached the EuroLeague Final Four.
