Alessandro Gentile will return to Milano in the next hours after the decision of Panathinaikos to part ways with him.
Gentile’s experience with the Greens lasted less than three months.
Gentile is not eligible anymore to return to Olimpia Milano, with whom he has a contract for next season, or sign with any other Serie A teams (but he may join a Serie A2 team).
The former captain of EA7 will practice by himself in Milan for the moment, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, and evaluate all the offers he’ll get.
Gentile is not eligible also to play in EuroLeague or EuroCup till the end of the season.
If Gentile doesn't play the last months of the season, his participation at Eurobasket 2017 may be at risk as well.
