Euroleague Basketball denies rumors of a meeting with Virtus Bologna

Following the news that have recently been published in Italian media, Euroleague Basketball would like to clarify the following:

No meetings have been requested nor scheduled with Virtus Bologna or any other Italian clubs, besides the regular talks that Euroleague Basketball holds with clubs currently participating in its competitions.

With regards to the access of clubs to Euroleague Basketball competitions, Euroleague Basketball agreed with LBA (LEGA Basket) President and subsequently with ULEB President, that no individual meetings with clubs will be held, as long as the freedom of said clubs to choose in which European competition they want to participate in is respected; while this condition is respected Euroleague Basketball interlocutor will be the Italian Domestic League.
