Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv forward Itay Segev is expected to miss the upcoming four seasons of competition due to a broken foot, the club announced on Friday morning. Segev (2.04 meters, 21 years old) suffered the injury in the last minute of a preseason game on Thursday evening against Nahariya. The fracture on his foot will require him to undergo surgery, which will be performed early next week. If the esimated recovery period goes as planned, Segev could be back for the last third of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season. Segev debuted in the EuroLeague as a 17-year-old back in 2012, then spent one season each at Israeli clubs Hapoel Holon and Galil Gilboa, before returning to Maccabi and scoring his first EuroLeague points last season.
