Olympiakos signs Kyprianos Maragkos to a four-year deal

Olympiacos Piraeus added another promising Greek talent by signing big man Kyprianos "Paris" Maragkos to a four-year contract. Maragkos (2.06 meters, 22 years old) arrives from American University, where he averaged 7.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game as a starter last season. Before that Maragkos played two seasons at George Washington University and one season of prep school in Virginia, USA. Maragkos is a product of the Panathinaikos Athens youth system and played briefly for the senior squad as a teenager before moving to the United States. He has also represented Greece at the youth levels, including most recently at the 2014 U20 European Championship, where he tallied 8.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game alongside his new Olympiacos teammates Dimitrios Agravanis and Ioannis Papapetrou.
